Speaking part

Well, day two of the exceedingly dull conference/ seminar/ workshop/ whatever-the-management-speak-people-call-it-these-days.

It didn't drag on as badly as yesterday. I had a speaking part today as somebody actually asked for my opinion, and more than once at that. Someone was sat next to me who was just as bored, so we spent some of the time trying to have fun the best we could in the circumstances. That generally involved taking the piss out of some of the other people there.

Word of the day today seemed to be "nuthink", translated as "nothing" to you and I. It was desperate to listen to the chaviest of people using that term, but devastating to hear the chap leading the conference say it.

I refrained from using the nearest piece of furniture to beat the living daylights out of everyone who annoyed me. I'm sad to report there's another day left of it, but still, at least I am away from the office. That knowledge is what stops me from losing it completely.
