Thanks to Kelly and Steve for having us over the weekend at their nice pad by the coast. Shame about the weather of course, but we won't blame that on them. It's always nice to see them - they are great company and always lots of fun. We started with a few games of pool, followed by a lovely Thai meal. Evening ended with 'Kerplunk' a cracking game I hadn't played in years and then a dose of Scrabble. Great stuff and very civilised indeed.
We went from there to another friend's house for a party thrown just for the hell of it. Some bloke turned up who I recognised from work a long time ago. He really didn't want to leave and didn't actually go until about 3am. He was a bit weird. I'm not sure why he wanted to stay so long, since he was a mate of a mate so far as our friend was concerned and his mate left quite early on. He then apparently told Amanda about an old friend he hadn't seen in three years whom he had blown out to come to this party. Strange, because it was just us, him and Michael left for most of the evening. If you're wondering, we of course were there for so long because we had been invited to stay the night. That's my excuse anyway.
Now it's Monday and it's still raining. A dreary old day, but at the risk of sounding like an old man - at least it's good for the lawn.

You are welcome any time, Skellers! Bloke sounds a little scary- you weren't left in a dark room on your own with him were you?
Thankfully not!
